A palette to settle into
A different little path
Between visits, choose a new trail. Planted guardians return all their seeds so you can arrange them again.
Choose a guardian. Rotate its shape, then tap grass to plant. No dragging needed.
Different friends within 2½ squares give each other 20% more warmth. A small shared leaf marks the connection.
Guardians welcome visitors automatically. Every visitor gives the same seeds, whether soothed or simply passing through.
Tap a planted friend to grow it or return it for all its seeds. Undo your last edit before time advances.
Quiet space freezes everything. Nothing resumes until you choose. Every change is saved.
Keyboard: 1–3 choose · arrows move · Enter plants · R rotates · P pauses · Q opens quiet space · Escape closes. Focused buttons also work with Space. Progress is announced after each Still turn.
One bloom every three visits. Always there when you return.
Turn the little shape to match its outline.Or simply leave it here.
Your garden is resting while you arrange.
This is a small optional diversion. No rewards, wrong-answer sounds, or progress to protect.
Mosslight borrows spatial play from game research, and choice and predictability from trauma-informed design. It has not been clinically tested and does not treat PTSD or C-PTSD.
People respond differently to sounds, imagery, and attention activities. Everything here is optional. There is no need to recall an experience, follow your breathing, or play through discomfort.
The full source-backed design notes are included in the project as RESEARCH.md. Original artwork was made with image generation. All artwork and sound run locally. No accounts, health tracking, advertising, or analytics.

The garden is paused. You can stay, step away, or close this window.
You might notice one ordinary thing in the room around you—its shape or texture. There is nothing to complete. Skip this if it doesn't suit you.
Pick a companion, then tap a grassy patch. They are free to move, and never need looking after.
Decorations are just for fun. They do not block planting or change your guardians' warmth.
